On the Court

What Kind of Pickleball Coach am I?

Being around sports all my life, I found ways to harness my energy and develop as an athlete. I found fulfillment in being involved in competition, no matter what sport because my competition and I had mutual goals: to win. As I grew older, I developed more of an appreciation for new ways to be active, and pickleball is truly the ultimate sport meant to extend one's life. Pickleball allows you to grow as a player - competitively, socially, mentally, and physically.

Pickleball is full of different recipes and equations. That includes mechanics, and I’m a big believer that proper mechanics limit your errors. Fewer errors mean longer rallies, and that equates to more points. Analyze your competition, and you can create a new recipe against any particular player whether they are a banger, a finesse player, or great all-around. We all have strengths and weaknesses. I teach players how the body wants to hit different types of shots in pickleball. Master all the shot selections in pickleball and add them to your "toolbox" so you eventually have many shots to utilize in key situations especially ones that give you higher percentages for success while recognizing opportunities that present an aggressive shot.

Clinics and Classes at Pickleball Kingdom

I teach a variety of classes at Pickleball Kingdom designed to help players elevate every aspect of their game. My 3 and Me sessions place me on the court with three players in live match play, where I analyze decision-making in real time and provide targeted feedback on mechanics, positioning, and shot selection. In The Soft Game Blueprint, I focus on drills that teach players how to properly utilize the soft game, emphasizing not only how to execute key shots but also when and why to use them. I also lead Advanced Pickleball: Technique, Tactics & High-Level Play, where I break down high-level shots, strategies, and patterns used in competitive play and teach players how to apply them effectively in matches.  A brand-new class designed for players who want to take their game into the tournament scene called One-on-One Drill Session focuses on high level drills tailored to each player’s strengths and weaknesses, with an emphasis on applying those skills directly to match play. Beyond instruction, I am actively involved in developing and growing the junior program, as well as supporting community outreach initiatives and corporate events to help expand the game and connect more people to pickleball.
